Diabetic Complications

From what I have learned there are some major potential complications with diabetes.

These include kidney function, eye damage, circulation issues, increased heart and stroke risk, increased risk of infection and mental health issues,

The great news is that the chances of getting many of these complications can be minimized by having good blood sugar control. The horror stories that you have heard over the past 25 years are not nearly as common as they once were. I have had experiences with some of these complications and I will share them in upcoming posts.

Please know that none of this is meant to be taken as medical advice.  I am just trying to briefly summarize what I learned through my research to make it easier on you.  I am sure your doctor will go over these risks with you... if they don't.... ask them to.

  1. I think diabetes is only a starting disease, if we disregard or take it for granted, it can complicate or lead to another problem. As much as possible, we should be health conscious.
